TakeHomeFolder ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application.

A. User Content (Local & iCloud)

The images you scan, the text extracted from them, and the family profiles you create are stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud container (using Apple's CloudKit technology). We (the developers) do not have access to this data.

B. Image & Text Processing (OpenAI)

To provide "Smart Scan" features (extracting dates and action items), the text and/or images from your scanned documents are processed by OpenAI, L.L.C.

• Transient Processing: Data is sent securely to OpenAI solely for analysis.
• No Training: We utilize OpenAI's API platform, which is configured not to use your submitted data to train their models.
• Retention: Data sent to the API is retained by OpenAI for a limited period (typically 30 days) solely for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted.

C. Anonymous Usage Data

We may collect anonymous, aggregate telemetry data to help us improve the app (e.g., "Crash Reports" or "Total Scans Performed"). This data cannot be used to identify you or see your personal content.

All subscriptions and payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not store or have access to your credit card information or billing address.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) when communicating with OpenAI or iCloud. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app is a tool for parents to organize school documents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
